Kara Gaughan has joined O’Leary PR as a trainee account executive, as the Dunfermline-based firm prepares for a busy period in the run up to the Royal Highland Show, one of the agency’s biggest clients.
Gaughan recently completed a four-year degree in BA (Hons) Journalism at Edinburgh Napier University. She brings with her the experience of handling the press for Edinburgh Online Fashion Week’s 2013 event, alongside a host of work experience within the media industry.
Managing director Judith O’Leary said: ‘We are excited to welcome Kara to the team here at O’Leary PR, and look forward to training her in such a fast-paced and exciting environment. She brings with her a keen sense of ‘what makes news’ as a result of her journalism degree, and will be an asset to the agency.’
O’Leary PR was established in 2000, and has amongst its client base Dunfermline Delivers, The Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland, Hopetoun Farm Shop, Seafish, Go Rural, British Guild of Agricultural Journalists, Simpsons Malt and new-comer Eat Drink Discover Scotland.
