Represent, the award-winning PR and digital comms agency, has achieved the Public Relations & Communications Association (PRCA) Communications Management Standard (CMS), a hallmark of PR and communications excellence. Notably, Represent is one of just a handful of agencies in Scotland to attain the accreditation.
Judith O’Leary, founder and MD of the Represent team expressed her pride saying: “This achievement is a testament to the talent of our tenacious team and our unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, as we strive to make it amazing for everyone we work with.”
The CMS certification combines elements of ISO9001 and Investors in People, with criteria specific to the PR and communications consultancy space. Represent was evaluated on several core areas, including leadership and communication, business planning, business improvement, financial management and systems, campaign management, client satisfaction, new business, and people management.
Carol Magill, CMS Assessor added: “Represent’s first CMS audit resulted in examples of best practice across all areas audited.
“In particular. around leadership and communication, Represent demonstrated that this is an organisation which wants to keep its team well-informed and engaged in the business. They showcased impressive transparency in their business planning coupled with a robust induction process.
“In the campaign management section Represent outlined a meticulous approach to gaining insights and devising comprehensive plans with tailored KPIs for clients. Their business plan this was detailed, clear and ambitious, solidifying Represent’s strong foundation in CMS.”
The CMS award comes following a period of expansion for the independent agency headquartered in Edinburgh. Represent expanded into the Irish market by opening a Dublin office and welcomed a slew of new clients to its stable, including Crown Estate Scotland, Agriconnect, Halspan and BITA.
Emphasising the agency’s commitment to excellence, Represent Associate Director Grainne Byrne says: “In our quest to be the best small agency, we are constantly looking for ways to enhance our reputation as both a trusted client partner and a good employer. The CMS award underscores our commitment to best practices in areas such as leadership, strategic planning, campaign management, and team development.”
Established in 2001 as O’Leary PR, Represent rebranded in 2016 and has since been at the forefront of PR & digital marketing across diverse sectors. The agency’s portfolio includes renowned clients such as the Royal Highland Show, BITA, William Purves Funeral Directors, Chippendale School of Furniture, and Merchiston Castle School.
