Independent agricultural merchant McCreath, Simpson & Prentice (MSP) welcomes new recruit David Barrett to their Berwick-upon-Tweed HQ in the role of Director of Fertiliser.
David (48), from Cumbria, joins the trading division of Simpsons Malt after a move from Canada where he worked as Sales & Marketing Manager for Yara Premium Offerings. Prior to this, he handled a number of roles with Yara’s UK fertiliser operations from 1997 onwards and had previously worked for Agrovista.
In the role of Director of Fertiliser David is responsible for the strategy and commercial direction of the fertiliser business at MSP, including the purchasing of all raw materials and working with the commercial team to ensure production and sales of high quality fertiliser products through the 100,000tn capacity plant at Berwick.

David Barrett is married with two children and possesses both agricultural qualifications and an MBA.
